I have quite the story to tell about the last two years. The Covid-19 pandemic hit while I was visiting my girlfriend in Portugal. My return flights were canceled and I got quarantined there with everyone else. I had my old laptop with me which I found out could barely open my Everblue files anymore, so I spent my time there working on thumbnails for Patreon and doing various commissions to save up for a flight home. Several of those flights got canceled as well. Once there was an opening in the flights and lockdowns though, I slipped through just before everything shut down again, but I got home!
Not long after that, I got sick with nonstop throat, jaw, and head pain. For the last 10 - 11 months I honestly thought I had either long-term Covid or something that was slowly killing me. After being extremely persistent with my doctors that it was not all in my head, they found that I have impacted wisdom teeth causing daily pain. Right now I'm waiting for a surgery to remove them while working through this year's tax commissions that piled up due to my slowed pace.
Finally, last week, the CMS I was using for Everblue broke, so I rebuilt the site in Comic Control, a much more frequently updated CMS.
Having said all that though, I'm starting to feel like I'm out of the woods at last. I'm almost finished with all those commissions and the pain is easier to manage now that I know what it is. My hopes are slowly returning knowing that this is temporary and I'll be able commit myself to this project again after so long. I appreciate everyone sticking with me despite of all this. The pandemic made it a rough two years for the whole world, but I have hope that things will brighten up again soon :)
