Later than I would like with this page >_>. On the bright side I've developed some new techniques that have helped me significantly speed up my coloring process. Now I just need to do the same for the sketch phase :x

Fire Alpaca

I wanted to share a new-ish free drawing program for Mac/Windows called Fire Alpaca. I found it last week and played around with it for a bit and it quickly became one of my top favorite art apps. I actually ended up inking this page with it.

Fire Alpaca is a lot like Paint Tool Sai in that it is very fast, lightweight and provides a method for smoothing strokes as you draw them. But what really got me on board is the perspective and line snapping tools, something that precious few programs in the same vein provide. These tools made the perspective scenes on this page go much faster during inking.

If you want a great drawing program with a host of unique features, definitely give Fire Alpaca a try :D. It certainly beats Photoshop when it comes to line quality, rivals Sai in many aspects, and provides a useful tool that I haven't seen in a free program before. Did I mention it's free? *__*
